At Capcom’s recent Captivate press event details on the upcoming Super Street Fighter IV “Tournament Mode” DLC content was revealed. The Tournament Mode will not ship with the game next week but will be released on June 15.
The Super Street Fighter IV Tournament Mode will allow players to host tournaments with either four or eight players on Xbox LIVE or PlayStation Network. The game will automatically create the bracket, though the host can edit or re-order the bracket at any time. The Super Street Fighter IV replay feature is also available in Tournament Mode and a replay of the entire tournament can be saved and shared after the tournament. A ninth player can act as the tournament host but will opnly be able to set up and oversee the tournament. The final battle of the tournament will have its own unique music track.
The free Super Street Fighter IV “Tournament Mode” downloadable pack will be available on June 15.
