Little Big Planet 2: How to Play Metal Gear Solid, Marvel, Other Older DLC

One of the main questions I had when thinking about buying Little Big Planet 2 was whether older DLC from the first game will work. For me specifically I wanted to know if the Metal Gear Solid pack I bought for Little Big Planet would work in Little big Planet 2. Although hard to access the good news is that the Metal Gear Solid pack, Marvel pack and other DLC levels from the first game do work in Little Big Planet 2. I searched the internet and could not find any information on if and how. After some digging myself with the game I found it.

Here is how to access Metal Gear Solid levels you may have bought for the first game:

Older costumes and items you bought for the original Little Big Planet game will show in your popit. The levels you may have bought with that content will not show on your moon or in your pod. You must go into the store to access older DLC level content.

Use the L1 and R1 buttons if necessary in the in-game store to find the DLC content you have already purchased. In this case I looked for the Metal Gear Solid Pack. When you locate the pack in the store press X to view the contents.

When you press X to view contents you will be presented with this screen that will show all of the individual levels. Your progress data is still intact and you wll be able to see which levels you have completed and your completion percentage.
