More of the same is cool but if Killzone 3 developers are looking to have that smash impact that Uncharted 2 had when released they will need to do more than just include new stages and some jet packs. I know the game will also be 3D capable but how many of us will have new 3D capable TV’s by next March? The recent leak now proven false about Killzone 3 having 4 player co-cop got me thinking.
Uncharted 2 surprised us all with a killer multiplayer mode. Naughty Dog proved most of us wrong with a well thought out fully fleshed out multiplayer mode that we did’nt even think we wanted. Not only that but Co-Cop missions were also included. I really do think that Killzone 3 really needs online co-op campaign levels.
If the latest Transformers game can have online co-op than why the hell cant Killzone 3? It’s not like they would even have to cram it into fit the story. The fact of the matter is that the computer AI of your squad mates in Killzone 2 sucked ass. They were more of a liability than an asset. Very few games nail computer controlled AI help. Gears of War 2 suched in this very same category. Why not give players the ability to have friends control Rico instead of having to trudge through again with a sub par AI player?
Killzone 3 continues from where Killzone 2 left off and Rico’s is still with you so Im hoping for at least two player co-op. Modern Warfare 2 is not my favorite shooter but it did have some good online co-op missions. If Killzone 3 wants to hang with the Big Boys it better have online co-op in addition to online multiplayer.
