How to Drift in Need For Speed Hot Pursuit

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit is a great game. Much like other arcade style racers before it Need For Speed Hot Pursuit requires proper drifting around corners at high speeds in order to stay competitive. There are three basic types of turns in the game.

When tackled with a slightly different approach these turns can be taken at high speed with a proper drift that allows you to maintain speed and will keep you on the road. Here are the turn types and how to take them with a proper drift:

Long Turn Drifting:
During long or wide turns, tap the gas to lose traction on the road while maintaining speed.

Medium Turn Drifting:
Most turns that require drifting fit into this category. For medium turns, tap the brakes to begin the drift then press and hold the the accelerator.

Sharp Turn Drifting:
For sharp, 90 degree or right-angle turns tap the handbrake button to send of the car into a sideways spin. By doing this you can swing the car around the turn at a high speed pretty quickly without losing much speed at all.

Extra Racing Tip:
Also remember to hit the nitro as you come out of turns for that extra edge.
