The thing about Street Fighter is you can’t go into it thinking you will win all the time by button mashing.
It takes time and commitment to learn the moves and combos and to be able to get the timing right in a match to use them.
I’ll admit, i’m probably one of the worst players on the site, but i have noticed myself getting slightly better with practice.
It’s like i was saying to my cousin the other day, he’s only 11 but bought the game coz he thought he would get some easy trophies so i kicked his ass is vs mode, he started to get mad so i told him that he’s gotta practice. I’m not gonna take it easy on him. He beat me once and that was because he get jumping around, so i fucked him up the next round and was pullin Ex moves and super combos on him. I don’t give a fuck lmao!!!!
Street Fighter is a mans game, if you can’t handle it, then don’t play it.

I was just speaking to him them and he was moaning coz he thought he could get all the trophies for pulling off the spcial combos and shit in practice mode, now as far as i know you have to do it inside a proper match. He won’t have the game long. soon get rid of it.

Ha Ha I know the combos I grew up playing this sh*t every day. Back when you could drop a quarter and run things all lunch at 7 11 if you were on your game. Dudes that grew up with the arcade style machines know what I’m talking about. It’s a lot different growing up with a ps2 controler playing street fighter then having played it on a stand up machine is what I’m saying. What I want to know is if there are any tips or tricks to using a dpad or analog stick as compaired to a arcade stick

street fighter is more mind games than anything… or rather its 50% predicting what that other person will do and 50% being able to execute the move that will take advantage of the prediction.

Newer players should ease into being fancy until they can execute moves often.

And yeah…fuck a pad. LOL I originally played street fighter in the arcade(junior high…highschool in the 90’s) but after years of playing alpha etc on playstation using a dpad I did successfully move to joysticks and I am very glad I did it because I can execute shit waaay better now that im in the comfort zone with the joystick. There are techniques like pianoing and negative edge (look it up lol) that you can do on a joystick that cant be easily done on pad.

I was killing it last night.
Set the fight request to on whilst i was playing through arcade. Finished the game with a few characters and unlocked their movies. Played about 10 online matches and won about 8 of them.
I was looking on amazon and i found this Hori fighting stick, now it’s only cheap so am not sure if it will be any good, but the reviews have been pretty great. I don’t know squat about about the fighting sticks so if anyone can take a look and let me know what you think.
Doesn’t look like i will ever be able to afford on eof those madcatz fighting sticks so i’ve gave up on that idea lol.

Yea. This will elevate your game. Also, Brook and I can help you out with Piano, Cancellation aka Kura, and Negativity. You will then finally know the neutral position. It works a whole lot better with a Joystick instead of a controller.
