Critter Crunch is a new donwloadable puzzle game by CapyBara Games on the Playstation network. If you like Tetris, or Puzzle Fighter, Critter Crunch may very well be a game you will also love. You can play this game with your girlfriend, kids or whoever because it is charming and the premise is simple yet addictive. You feed the critters until they explode. When they do explode they also explode any critters next to them of the same color. You can move the critters around to set up explosion chains to clear areas faster and rack up bonus points.

The game looks great and there are plenty of modes. Not only is local and online multiplayer and co-op modes included but there are also single player challenge and puzzle modes. In the puzzle mode you have only a limited amount of moves to clear all the critters from the level. You have to plan your moves and strategize and it is a nice change of pace from the standard game that can get frantic at times due to the increasing speed of the falling critters. You can liken this to an advanced session of Tetris when the blocks start falling at a fast speed.
Critter Crunch is extremely charming. The graphics are crisp at true 1080p and the animations are colorful and vibrant. The game does not yet have custom soundtracks but there is word that it will be add in an upcoming patch, At $6.99 Critter Crunch is an absolute steal and well worth it.
