I can’t imagine Shameless translating well at all. It’s just uniquely Northern, England. I think Southerners in the UK can watch it & kind of get aspects of it, but to get most of it, you have to be from up North. To fully get it, you have to be a Manc.
On another note, I’ve been watching Australian Gangster series Underbelly.
It’s a true story based on the Drug wars in Melbourne, Aus, from 1995 through to 2004. It’s violent, full of bad language & loads of titties & ass. Just my kind of show, lol!
Seriously though, it’s well written, acted & directed. May be not as polished as the mega budget HBO shows, but it defiantly compares in terms of entertainment value. I’ve just forked out £40 to get the second series shipped from Australia, thats how much I’m enjoying this. Get on it!!

I’m loving this game. I know what you mean Brook about the cut scenes. It can fuck up your rythum. Another slight irritant is the music. When you have to do the time trails over & over, some of the music grates on me. I had to hook my ipod up through my xbox.
I’ve only played Career mode as Police so far. I might get online & play what you were talking about Scat. Thats sounds a lot of fun.

Then I get Kanye & Ghostface for Christmas.
Then Ghetts leaks a Christmas EP. (UK Grime artist)
Then Asher Roth leaks an EP.
Then a new Em track leaks, 5 minutes later a Horseshoe Gang (Crooked I’s group) leaks. + the other single track leaks over the Christmas period.
I can’t remember ever haviung so much new music to listen to!
This Christmas has been special for hip-hop.

So I’ve had a chance to listen to this now & I’m really enjoying it. It’s different to what I normally listen to. Being an English, suburban white kid, obviously I like to listen to that gangsta shit, lol, or something with a bit of lyrical complexity that you got to think about. This, despite not being my 1st choice of albums, you can hear that it is quality & I can understand why people rate it so highly.
I need to listen to the whole album more though. When I go back to work later in the week I’ll get a chance to give the whole album a good, consistant listen.
I’ve got myself this for christmas. Not heard 1 song of it yet. I’m not Kanyes biggest fan but every one I’ve heard talking about this has loved it.
I’ll give it a listen & post up my thoughts after Christmas.

Sounds like I’ll enjoy it. The last Fallout I would get totally engrosed. I would start playing & then look at the clock & 8 hrs had past, lol. I hadn’t done that since I was addicted to Football Manager 2006.
How is this game? I’ve bought it for myself for Christmas (You know you’re getting old when you buy your own presents & get your Mam to wrap them & give you them on the day, lol!).

I love Fallout 3. I must of played about 30 hrs (which is a mamouth amount for me), but I used all the ammo for the big guns & was told there was no way I could go past a certain point or something like that.
