it all personal preference and I would not take a specific gun set up from anybody. try lots of stuff to see what really works for you. As J said it all matters on the game mode and even the map. Close quarters your gonna want a weapon with a quick rate of fire like the mp5 or scorpion. Martyrdom usually works well to if your up close or in close quarters combat. Overall the best assault rifle to use would have to be the m4 with the red dot. The acog is just inaccurate for me. The red dot allows for a quick sight picture and easy kills. Most guns that are really jumpy like the AK or g36c are easily controlled with a silencer but it does take of from the range of the weapon.
