Capcom Wins Dead Rising Lawsuit, Sony Looses $18 Million, Activision Dodges
I figured I would wrap up all the legal related stories on one tight neat post. Capcom recently won their case against the Producer of George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead who sued Capcom claiming that Dead Rising ripped the Dawn of the Dead film. I guess this is likely to mean that we will see the rumored Dead Rising 2 in the future at some point. Sony recently lost a patent lawsuit to Agere...[Read More]
Call of Duty: World at War on South Park

Home Beta Keys Still Going Out
This morning I was greeted to an email from Playstation giving me access to the Playstation Home beta because I downloaded the free Playstation Home Theme in the PSN Store a few months ago. I downloaded the beta and as you can see in the image below I could not get in. Hopefully by this afternoon it will be all good. I think it may take a few hours for them to process my registration before I can ...[Read More]

Contrary to certain predictions made on our last podcast (not by yours truly), Call of Duty: World At War did NOT nominate Xbox live. Gears of War is the clear winner when it comes to unique users and Xbox Live activity for the week of November 10th. Gears of War 2 kicked ass and smashed competition. Wii Music Sells Under 81,000 Copies in October
Is Nintendo’s run coming to a halt? Probably not yet but these numbers look bad by Nintendo’s current sales standards. Consider that Wii Fit sold 687,700 units when it hit stores and that Wii Play sold 282,000 units last month. The people have spoken with their wallets and this seems like a FLOP of sorts by Nintendo’s typical sales averages. Wii Music has been getting bad reviews...[Read More]
Wipeout HD Player Hits Supersonic Speeds In Zone Mode
Zone mode in Wipeout HD puts you on a psychedelic track that propels you faster and faster until you explode from having lost all your energy hitting the sides and falling off the track. The goal is to last as long as you can at the increasing speeds. I don’t know if anyone other than the actual developers knew that there are “Mach 1” and “Supersonic” speed levels in ...[Read More]

Edge Magazine December 2008 Review Scores
Edge magazine is surely one of my favorite video game magazines. I highly recommend. My subscription stays current though they still haven’t sent me my damn free T-shirts but that’s another matter. In any case Edge magazine does publish some pretty good and detailed reviews. To get into the score breakdown nitty gritty pick one up at Borders or subscribe online. Here are the scores to ...[Read More]
