Xbox president: Microsoft’s Robbie Bach has dismissed Sony’s PlayStation Network, saying he doesn’t believe the console rival offers an online gaming service comparable to Xbox Live.

The company is currently celebrating five years of Xbox Live, with over 8 million users signed up to the service. “It’s fair to say that Xbox Live is clearly head and shoulders above anything anyone else has tried to do. We don’t have competition,” said Bach, speaking to the LA Times.

“Sony has done some things online, but nothing that can be called a service. We have a big advantage and we’re going to keep pressing that advantage,” Bach added.

Robbie Bach, the 45-year-old president of the division that runs Microsoft’s games and music business, talks with the Los Angeles Times before the five-year anniversary of Xbox Live.

but if you notice xbvox live have repaid it customers with free downloads on movie, games, and updated maps. also it help the system form going down. how many time have the socom 2 been hacked because of the lack of funds.

how can you say that? you would rather get free service and NOBODY be online to play with, or pay $50 for a whole year….which is a little over $4 a month to have a better online experience….free isnt always better…its just more convenient :v:

Shit without funds that coming from them. It going to suck as always. I want to be surprised, like a child on Christmas if they answer to us “KIDS” on what we want. $7.99 a month if you pay by the month. $19.99 for 3 months and $49.99 for a year. Now seriously people how many times have you bought stuff that sucks. Sony need to learn off of live. You can open mail from your friends in the middle of a game. Open Chat with friends in the middle of the game even if they not playing the same game as you. Man a couple of nice features that PSN should bite, to stay in competition. I that the INFO BAR was going to be nice, but they only update it once a week. IMO they should update it daily so people have to be on there PS3. They need to get the movie downloads also, fuck BLU-RAY downloads. I want my girl to stop bugging me about that shit
