Motorstorm Pacific Rift has just received an update that adds microbadges. These microbadges are like mini trophies that can be displayed while racing online. This addition is very similar to what was added to Wipeout HD not too long ago.

What’s in the update?

> 40 unique Microbadges for every player to collect.
Earn them for a wide variety of accomplishments and show them off to every other racer online!

> Sugar Rush short-cut removed.
The short-cut which by-passes the sugar field was not intentionally included and has been removed.

> Sugar Rush respawn point fixed.
Crashing at a certain point on the track no longer respawns the vehicle in a generous position.

> Additional fixes and improvements to gameplay.

So judging from the screenshot that must mean that player names are now displayed above the vehicle. I think thats great coz at least now i will know who i am racing against.
Speaking of racing, anyone up for a few games tonight to test out the update?

But even before this update if you click in the left stick to show the players name above the vehicles. I guess with this update it will also show the badges.
