So i played through that controversial airport level in single player mode before.
Erm ye it did kind of cross the line.
You just see all these people lining up and then they all just get shot up. It didn’t really bother me until i saw one of the npc’s trying to carry another injured npc to safety and then got his brains blew out.
It kinda made me sit back for a few seconds and think ‘Damn, what the hell did i just do’

I suppose if it can get people to think ‘ok this isn’t cool’ then it’s a good thing, but i’m sure there will be some little kids somewhere who read about this level and was loving the shit whilst playing. That isn’t good.

Ok I’ll stop hating on Modern warfare 2. Its a great game just not the best this year to me lol

I got MVP last game I played earlier today. I think all the real players come out at night.

The controversial part of the level wasn’t as controversial as it could have been to me. I only shot the security people since you really didn’t have a choice, but the one thing that kept that level from being impactful was the animation. That has always been something that CoD needed work on. After playing games like Uncharted and Assassin’s Creed, animation in most games seems oudated. I think the parts of the game that were most impactful to me were the levels in VA and DC. It was a lot of the little things that gave it a chilling effect. Certain signs looked familiar, the Emergency Broadcast said things very close to what I’ve heard before and, of course, seeing the different memorials destroyed (memorials that I’ve been to in the last couple months).

Brook, I think the reason why you’re feeling like MW2 is generic is because pretty much every shooting game has borrowed from the CoD series. Either the control scheme or the way multiplayer works. The multiplayer in COD4 has set the benchmark of all games after it. That’s why Uncharted 2 plays the way it does. Infinity Ward has found a great way to keep people wanting to play. You are constantly being rewarded in this game. And I had fun killing all of you yesterday. We should do it again. 😄

Any PS3 players out there. Damn been working all week and just got to play for the first time tonight. So far so good. I noticed no one really touched on the voice over acting but its done very well. Graphically the game looks better then the original modern warfare but nothing to write home about. Only playing the story mode right now to get a feel for the weapons but i have to say using the akimbo style weapons dont feel to good. The new additions to the weapons are excellent, Every rifle has a distinct feel to it. If anyone picks it up for ps3 yeahovah is the tag.

Just beat the single player. It was decent, there were a couple standout levels. The ones that took place in the snow and the one that takes place in Washington DC, which by the way I thought looked brilliant.
I understand what you mean Slip about destroying the war memorials, I didn’t want to do it but I knew I had to. It was a weird feeling.
I’m glad the game gave me some of those moments where I had to pause the game for a few seconds and think about what had just happened, because we are living in time of Modern Warfare and scenes like what is witnessed in the DC level could easily happen right now.

Im down. LOL @ scat calling the graphics AWESOME. I cant agree with that. Id say they work and are good but I do find the amount of different guns daunting.

Like whats your favorite guns to use guys and why? I been using the FAMAS with the dot scope. 🙂 If you cant remember this page has all the guns.

lol i said the graphics are good, which they are. I then went on to say that the snow looks good, just not up to Uncharted 2 standard. Then all the shit about the DC. I never said the graphics as a whole were AWESOME.

Well, I’m quite a bit through single player & played my 1st online games today & I love it.

The graphics are great to me, but I’m no massive games player so I’m sure there is better out there.

I just love the game play. No other shooter engroses me as much & gets me as hyped when I make a good killing or complete a mission that I’ve may be struggled at some point.

I’m still gash online though. I think the highest I came was 4th, haha!! I’ll get better. Can’t beleive some people are on level 48 already. What do these people do with their lives!??
