So i’ve been thinking about this for a while now.
I keep on top on DS news and reviews through Ign and i’m astounding at some of the amazing games that are being released for it.
Final Fantasy series
Chrono Trigger
Pokemon
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
and i’m seriously contemplating getting one.
I go to college during the week and it usually takes me an hour to get there and an hour to get back depending on traffic and with me starting Uni in september there will be even longer journeys. So it would be good to have these games to play whilst i’m sat there bored.
However i’m sure we have all heard by now that the DSi is being released quite soon and i want to know if you guys think it’s worth waiting for that.
I mean after reading up about it i don’t think i will use the camera all that often and the fact they have took the GBA slot out of it, to me is bad business altogether.
Like i say though there are some incredible games being released for the system, but let me know what you think. :^:

the DSi is gonna be even more like a casual gamer handheld than the Lite.

my girlfriend recently got me a DS lite, and I havent used it yet but i have pokemon platinum and suikoden: tierkreis on preorder and cant wait to play them.

the stylus thing is kinda a turn off…

I think the cameras on the new DSi are kinda cool to play around with, but after you get bored with them (since this thing isnt meant to be a camera, those little lenses on it are crap) its practically the same as the DS Lite but with a cleaner look…

So, it all depends, if you dont mind paying the extra money, the DSi has a couple extra additions, but you do lose the GBA slot (which I will probably be using a lot when I start building my GBA collection up again).

The Lite essentially is two handhelds combined (GBA and DS)…Who needs the cameras when everyone probably already has cameras?

Basically, in my opinion, I don’t see how it’s a wise choice to lose the GBA slot for some crappy cameras.
