Ok so heres the deal. Ever since I moved in my loft I had basic cable. the shit was just hooked up that way and I enjoyed it. TNT, CNN, FX, Cartoon network all that stuff.
About a week ago shit hit the fan and now all I get is the blue screen telling me to call this suspicious ass number. LOL Like im going to call the “you used to get free cable number” anyways…
Here are my options
For $50 bucks I can get a HD antenna which will give me the basic channels in HD. CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, etc.
For $30 a month I can get basic cable.
So im thinking gamefly 2 games a month or cable? something has gotta go. I am paying $25 for 2 games out at a time from gamefly and I swear I dont play 2 games at a time one always just sits for weeks. lol
SO…. if you had to choose would you choose cable TV or 2 games a month?
Even better netflix or cable tv or gamefly?
Well if it was me. I would choose games. But that’s just me I barely watch TV.

yo so I bit and the cable guy came out friday… it was basic cable for $23 a month. He put in the little boxes and I was like “where are my free HD channels like listed on the website?” At least nbc, abc,cbs etc. apparently the box was only SD so I told him fuck that I didnt want the service. The website is HELLA MISLEADING! They have all thse channels on it and its hard as hell to know what is in your package and what is not.
So I just ordered this HD anntenna from amazon that supposed to give me basic free TV in HD so we will see how this goes.
There is not one but many… You have Comcast, Time Warner Cable, (line based)…
Dish Network and DirecTV (satellite based) to name a few. Depends on your area.
damn, i keep forgetting that the states is a big ass place lol.
if it was me, i’d hook the tv up over renting games, games can be bought and sld back to a shop for about the price you would rent them anyway. but if your bored one day, and u have a shitload of channels then SOMETHING will be on… plus i’m biased cos i love to watch tv
the thing is … I dont like watching whatever is on TV. Im a picky motherfucker. Over that I would rather rewatch a bluray of a classic movie or series that I love than watch a show im really not that into.
Ye man, TV sucks nowadays. 98% of the shit that is on I have absolute no interest in. I usually just watch re-runs of shows like Friends and Fresh Prince. I do like Nurse Jackie coz that shit is hilarious but other than that I’d rather just put a blu-ray or dvd on.
The Sony Bravia I have in my bedroom has one of those built in HD packages, we call it freeview overe here. It’s pretty decent and it works off your normal aerial. Don’t ask me how it gets a HD signal from an old aerial but it does and the HD channels do look a lot better than the standard def ones.
