One of the biggest complaints about Factor 5’s PlayStation 3 debut title appears to have been addressed. Sony Japan provided first details today on a free update for Lair, and included in the bullet points is the option for analog controls!
The update will also offer the ability to show a targeting icon, and Dual Shock 3 rumble support.
Sony is making a few additional downloads available for the game as well. Lair owners will be able to download the Wind Dragon and Poison Dragon for use in all stages. All PS3 owners will have access to a couple of themes which can be used to spice up the system’s main interface. These downloads will also be free.
The new downloads will arrive in Japan on the 17th, and presumably throughout the world at around the same time.

This is great news in my opinion so i’m definately considering buying this game now.
All the updates will be available by the time my new HD Tele arrives:D04/10/2008 at 4:39 pm #22523Shit, I will have another “EXCLUSIVE” game for the PS3 now. That is what I’m talking about. This shit is going to be Awesome!!!……………..SARCASM
I do not want Trophies, Money or not even a title saying I am number "1". You can have your cheap trophies, paper titles, and dingy headbands. I am a "STORY" to my peers, a "LEGEND" for your kids to hear, and a "FOLKLORE" to keep you from dieing with fear - Calvin D. Kates aka Chauncy "TRU" Talon.

The biggest problem many people seemed to have with the game was the fact that you were forced into using the Sixaxis, with no option of swapping to analog. The control scheme apparently just didn’t work and was too frustrating, causing the game to basically get the scathing reviews it recieved.
I’ve said in another thread that i’ve never played the game and didn’t intend to waste my money on it until i had at least played the demo, but the demo was never released on the Playstation Store over here. So if these updates do make a big difference to the gameplay then i will probably end up buying it.04/10/2008 at 11:50 pm #22544Scatigno wrote:I hope so. No wonder the game didn’t sell then. Most people would have made their minds up just from the reviews it recieved without actually trying the game out for themselves. -
