1 vs 100 Live Impressions

A little while ago I got to experience the 1 vs 100 Live Beta.

And I am really impressed with it.

The game was really fun and I wanted to continue playing it sadly it ran for only 2 hours and another 30 mins was extended play.

You are either part of the mob, the crowd or the one.

Being in the crowd doesn’t meet you just sit and watch you also answer the question with the top 3 crowd players receive a XBLA game. Also how well, your quickness and how much you play betters you luck of being in the mob or being the one.

The mob plays against the one and splits the points at the end if the player should lose and also receive a XBLA game (only if ten or less players I believe).

The one has a chance at 10,000 XLBA if he happens to defeat everyone from the mob. Something that no one did in the beta. One person did lose with only 5 people in the mob.

When you are the one you get three helps. One being trust the mob, which you go with the most popular answer in the mob. Ask the Brain which you go with whatever the top crowd better answered or Ask the Crowd which you go with what the majority of the crowd went with

I only got to play in the crowd but still had a lot of fun. In the game you pair up with 3 other people. We all helped each other to get the correct answer if we knew it. If it wasn’t for them I would have some wrong answers.

There is an actual host doesn’t say much but might drop a comment or two about you gamer tag or your progression. For example there was this guy with a gamer tag Grampa Higgins (or something like that) so the host would talk like an old man turning his round. And no the host is not Bob Saget.

There was no actually prizes given out in the beta unfortunately so people didn’t know that. One person walked away with what he fought was 3000MS points but really he was leaving with nothing. The full version will have prizes and if you didn’t know the game will be free to gold subscribers and will feature achievement.

After the game finished there was bonus called Extended Play. There each person was in the mob and answered question related to Canada. By playing this and scoring well also should increase your chances of being in the mob or the one.

I gotta comment on some question some are ridiculously easy. One question asked where to the Stampeders play? Now you might not now that if you don’t now CFL teams but the answers the give you, give the question away. Like one of the was something like Magic Hat the other alot the same lines, and then Calgary. Or they asked what is the new Terminator movie called and one of the answers was Terminator of Solace. Now I know there were gonna be a few of people that didnt know that but they should of asked slightly harder ones.

Another point is you better have a great connection cause a few people who were the one disconnected and a person who was in my group didn’t hear what the host was saying.
