Nintendo held a 3DS specific press conference this morning to announce details related to the upcoming launch. The 3DS will launch in North America for $249.99 on March 27th. The launch colors will be black and aqua blue. Its kind of odd that there will be no white version at launch. Perhaps that would be too similar to the DS Lite hardware.
I had some hands on time with the 3DS at E3 last year and you can read those impressions here. Overall I was impressed but $249 is about the price for a brand new Xbox 360 or PS3.
