Joystiq just clarified that the Halo 3 Recon campaign will NOT be DLC for the currently released Halo 3 game but will instead be sold in the Fall of 2009 as a new fully packaged game. I posted the trailer earlier today. According to Joystiq Halo 3 recon will have all the multiplayer and forge elements of the current version with new maps and such.
