I don’t mind sequels as long as they are done right, unlike games like Mafia II and Bioshock 2, but I would like to see a lot more new IP’s being released, but the problems is who is actually interested in them to keep supporting them. Alan Wake, Heavy Rain and Enslaved were all brand new IP’s last year and were all worthy of sequels but probably won’t get them because I don’t think the consumer interest is there, and the developers see what games are selling at the moment and that diminishes their creativity because they want to make games that sell well too, so then you see an influx of generic mediocre games.
