Sales do not make great albums.
Come on man, ok look at it this way. Nas’ Illmatic is highly regarded as THE GREATEST HIP-HOP ALBUM EVER MADE and how much did that sell. Did it even go platinum when it was first released. I know it didn’t sell that much.
Look at 50 Cents The Massacre. That was a terrible album and i think it sold more than 10 Million.
Thriller sold that much off the back of the thriller video and the Motown Billie Jean performance, FACT!!!!
