the first 10% of the game was really good, i was into it, the next 80%!!! was complete trash, the story was moderately interesting, but to be honest if a game like this is sooo repetitive the story needs to be 10/10, and it really wasn’t, having said that the last 10% of the game was very very good indeed, by the last 10% of the game i was some what into it, it’s just that that 80% of the game in the middle went sooo slow and soo repetitive, it was ridiculous.
my one issue, is they should not have bothered leaving it open for assassin’s creed 2, the main guy Altair SHOULD have died, it was the only way that game could be from very good to great, if Altair died i would have had sooooo much respect for the game cos not many games kill of title characters ever, but this game sould have, it was set up for him to die, instead of fighting masyaf and beating EVER SO EASILY, he should have stayed frozen under that golden ball thingy,, and masyaf should have killed him, leaving that dude with one arm to throw a knife through masyaf or something along those lines, but for me, Altair had to die for that game to end brilliant, i felt like the copout ending was taken just to get money from a second installment

i liked it until i beat it you had to tie so much shit together to get the ending it was easy as hell too. The thing i liked about the story line was that the people(i think)and events were real but the deaths were not(obviously tho)so i liked the fact that i was unaware of the history lesson i recieved. I did like the fact that they left the story wide open for a sequel BUT i hate the way the story ufolded so early. Alot of shit was obvious how you would eventually fidn out everyone who died had a good cause and you were the wrong oen some calssic shakespere stuff. So after the first two assassinations you could tell the moral and outcome of the story
my issue was how obvious the story had began to look after some missions i guess all in all i agree with you besides ol’ dude dying. Im glad he stayed alive and he ending could have went either way could lead to a prequel, which everyone is doing these days
but thats just my input
