cat5e is what you really want but cat5 should be ok I guess though its outdated. cat5e supports gigabit ethernet and there’s less signal interference aka crosstalk. for long runs you always wanna go cat5e. check monoprice.com

RJ45 is just the connector at the end. They are all RJ45 though the actual cables inside are different. Cat5e has more wires inside (for the increased bandwith etc.) than cat5 has and they cost the same.
regardless its gonna be much better than wireless.
