They are really in your face about buying shit, and then when you go all the way there to trade a game in even if you aren’t getting enough you are like fuck it these dudes are lame i just wanna get outta here.
But yeah I’ve never gone to Gamestop and seen a new release in a sleeve? They get them straight from the shipper and put them on shelves…As far as I know? Though now that I think of it…I have seen lots of games labeled as “New” (around the 30 dollar price) and they have no plastic on the game, so I’m guessing they have the games sitting behind the counter in a sleeve, in that case, I wouldn’t buy those ones. Just make sure the case is in plastic, or go to a different store to buy new. But at gamestop I usually trade old games towards new ones to get the extra 30% trade value if I’m buying BRAND NEW for 60$. Only games I buy at that price are ones I know won’t drop for awhile, like Fable 2, Fallout 3, Gears 2. Or ones I just have to have.
